Alongside his responsibility as an independent Director and Chairman of Leadway Pensure PFA Limited, he is a Non-Executive Director of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. He was commissioned into the Nigerian Army in 1962. He attended the Indian Military Academy as a full Combatant. He was ADC to the Military Governor of Northern Region, Nigeria and became Military Governor of Sokoto State in 1986. He was later appointed Commandant of The Nigerian Defence Academy in 1992. After thirty-one years of active military service, he retired in 1993 into private business and farming.

Apart from being a Director of Leadway Pensure PFA, he is the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Leadway Assurance Group. He is a product of Mayflower School, Ikenne, Ogun State.  He graduated from University of Houston, Texas from where he obtained both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business Administration, specializing in Finance.  He started his career in insurance with SCIB & Company Insurance Brokers (an affiliate of Segwicks Insurance Brokers) in 1980 and joined Leadway Assurance Company Limited in 1981, becoming Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company in 1994. He is a Munich Re scholar, being the First West African recipient of Munich Re and Georgia State University International Visiting Fellows insurance Program. He is accredited by the Securities and Exchange Commission as an Investment Manager and Portfolio Adviser.  Mr. Oye Hassan-Odukale is on the Board of a number of reputable companies such as First Bank of Nigeria, and the immediate past Chairman, Nigeria Insurance Association. He is also Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).

He is presently the Managing Director of Prestige Assurance Plc. Prior to his deputation as the Managing Director of Prestige Assurance Plc; he had worked for a period of over 32 years in various capacities as Branch Manager, Divisional Manager and Regional Manager both in Administration and Marketing. During this period he gained expertise in general insurance contracting, marketing and corporate clients servicing. He is an Associate of The Insurance Institute of India. He worked  as a  Scale 1 Officer of The New India Assurance Co Ltd., Mumbai, which is ’A’ rated  (‘EXCELLENT’) for 8 years in a row,  by A.M. BEST CO LTD (an American based International Rating Company). He rose to management position as the Deputy Gen. Manager of the Company’s Bhopal Region, which has a premium of US$55 million and manpower of 907 in over 31 branches and 19 divisional offices. He has also served as Professor and Head of the Non-life Department at National Insurance Academy, Pune, and as guest faculty at Corporate and Training College of The New India Assurance Co Ltd, Mumbai, and the State Bank of India, Chandigarh, teaching Development Officers, Agents, Branch Managers and Divisional Managers on Services, Marketing, Industrial insurance, and also Human Resource Development Initiatives. Dr. A.P. Mittal hails from India where he attended Indira Ghandi National Open University, Delhi India and Haryana Agric University, Hissar, India where he obtained Diploma in Management and Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry respectively

He is the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Custodian and Allied Insurance Company.  He is a graduate of Actuarial Science from University of Lagos.  He also holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Ibadan.  He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of UK, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute of Management. He has about Twenty-one years experience in the Financial Services Sector. He worked at NICON Insurance Plc as an Underwriter; Femi Johnson & Co as an Insurance Broker; Crusader Insurance Plc as Head of Investment. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Custodian and Allied Insurance Company Limited. He was a member of the Presidential Committee on Pension Reforms in Nigeria and a member of the Governing Council of the Nigeria Insurers Association. He has attended various reviews, training, seminars, workshops on Insurance and Management in different countries around the world.

He is an Executive Director of FBN Capital. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Managing Director of MBC International Bank Limited with general management oversight. He attended Cranleigh School, Surrey, England after which he proceeded to The London School of Economics & Political Science where he obtained a law degree and was called to The Nigerian Bar in 1988. He later obtained his MBA from the Lagos Business School. He headed various Departments and Divisions in the Bank before his appointment as the Executive Director of MBC in 2000. He has attended development programmes in Paris, Australia and others. He is a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit and Institute of Directors.

Mr. Ike Osakwe is a Chartered Accountant and practicing Management Consultant.  Educated in England, he holds degrees in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and has served Articles in the London offices of KPMG Audit. Qualifying in 1980, as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales, he returned to Nigeria to work as an expatriate for ITT.  He now serves as the Managing Director of GRID Consulting Ltd., a company that specialises in the planning and implementation of change processes and systems for Commerce, Industry, Government and NGOs.  Mr. Osakwe has over 28 years experience in financial, strategic and corporate planning, as well as organisational and financial management systems development, both in Nigeria and internationally. He has brought his vast experience in the dynamics of most major industrial sectors to bear in his work on corporate governance.  He has held several government and Board appointments and currently serves on the Boards of Oando Plc., Thomas Wyatt Nig. Plc. and FedEx Red Star Nig Ltd.

Presently the Executive Director in charge of Investments and Management Systems at Leadway Assurance Group.  Formerly the Managing Director of Leadway Pensure PFA. He is a graduate of the University of London and City University, London.  He holds a Bachelors Degree in Pure Mathematics and a postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science. He attended The Advanced Management Program of Lagos Business School and is an ordinary member of both the Royal Society of Mathematics and Pensions Management Institute. He is accredited by the Securities and Exchange Commission as an Investment Adviser and Portfolio Manager. He has attended several courses locally and abroad on Investment Management and Portfolio design. He is a Director of Stanbic Bank Nigeria Limited, Union Assurance Limited (Subsidiary of Union Bank of Nigeria) and Total Health Trust Limited, a health Management Company. Apart from his finance background, Mr. Hassan-Odukale has a strong bias for Information Technology.

Presently the Managing Director of Leadway Pensure PFA, Mrs Adedeji was formerly Executive Director at LPPFA. Prior to that she was an Executive Director of both MBC International Bank Limited and MBC Securities Limited. She is an Associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ACA) and a Fellow of Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, UK (FCCA).  She was Head of Capital Issues Division of ICON Limited (Merchant Bankers) for 7 years from where she moved to MBC International Bank in 1993. She was appointed an Executive Director at MBC International Bank in 2001. Her experience covers Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Private Banking, Investment Banking, Corporate Services and Securities.
